Dear Neighbor,

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group would appreciate your donation as part of this year’s annual fund raising drive. The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Support Group is a non-profit organization of volunteers from your community who support the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Department as well as various local programs including STAR, Montrose Search and Rescue, Explorer Scouts, Civilian Volunteers, Reserves, Mounted Posse, Neighborhood Watch, Arson Watch and CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). Through our efforts, we foster a strong and important connection between your community and the Sheriff’s Department.

One of our primary goals this year is to complete the purchase of a Mobile Command Post for your Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s. The Mobile Command Post is a specially design vehicle equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. This vehicle can be deployed to the site of an incident so that the Sheriffs can deliver rapid on the spot response. As I’m sure you can imagine, such rapid on-site response can be a major factor in helping ensure the best outcome when it’s most needed. Such response has become ever more critical in these days of active shooter calls, mass-casualty incidents and large-scale natural disasters.

Thus far, we have raised over 75% of our fundraising goal. With your help, hopefully this year, we’ll reach our goal. Donating to this important project is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to support our wonderful captain and deputies. For your donation, you will receive membership in our group, a Sheriff’s Support Group window decal, magnet and membership card as well as the opportunity to “Ride Along” with a member of the Sheriff’s Department.

In addition to donating, come join us at our upcoming events including our first ever Bingo Night on May 4th, 2018 at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital and our annual Golf Classic on August 20th, 2018 at La Canada Country Club. For more information, go to our website at www.cvssg.org.

Thank you for your donation and hope to see you at our events.

Sincerely,

Linda Taix-Paccone
President
